CEMB Hofmann UK Ltd is a specialist supplier of industrial balancing machines and systems across a wide range of sectors, including aerospace, automotive, energy, and manufacturing. As part of the globally recognised CEMB Group, headquartered in Italy, we bring decades of precision engineering and innovation to the UK market.

We are a small, close-knit team in the UK with the backing and resources of a much larger international organisation. Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Service Engineer who shares our passion for technical excellence and customer service.

The Role

This is a field-based position covering customer sites across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting customers with the installation, servicing, calibration, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of advanced balancing machines and associated systems.

This role involves regular travel and overnight stays, so flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and calibration of equipment
  • Installation and commissioning of balancing machines and systems
  • Performing upgrades and modifications to existing equipment
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Responding to breakdowns and providing technical support on customer sites
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Supporting customers with troubleshooting and technical advice
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reports

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

  • Electrically or mechanically biased, with a good understanding of industrial equipment
  • Experience in service, maintenance, installation, or repair of electro-mechanical machinery
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away overnight regularly

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

  • Experience with machine tools, balancing machines, or similar industrial systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems
  • Experience with automation projects or controls systems
